Pre-requisites

Enabling Logging of Contract Certainty Data

Contract Certainty reporting in Core requires the installation of the Regulation Module software. If you don't have this module installed, please contact OpenGI to enable it.
Once installed, to enable the recording of Contract Certainty data, it must be enabled in the Regulation Module Control program.

In "Other 2", make sure "In Core" is set to Yes at a minimum. It is recommended to have "On save to Core from Prospect" to Always; and at user discretion, "Terms agreed field to be mandatory" may be set to yes.

This setup should only need to be done once ever.

Setting up Non-Working Days

In order to make the contract certainty report more accurate, non-working days, such as Bank Holidays, must be set up explicitly. The Non-Working Days program can be found in the Regulation Module.

Simply add dates to this list that would fall within the standard work week but are otherwise days-off for the office, usually bank holidays.

Logging of Contract Certainty Data

Contract Certainty data is stored at the level 3, transaction summary level. When creating a new transaction, you will see the following options relating to Contract Certainty.

These fields can be changed after the fact, by accessing the transaction they are associated to; and amending them directly in the transaction.

To confirm papers received, either right click a transaction, or press the "Transactions" button; and select the option in the context menu.

This will show the following screen, after selecting a policy, allowing to confirm papers received, and again offering the chance to change the terms agreed and evidence issued fields.

Generating a Contract Certainty Report

The Contract Certainty report can be found in the Regulation Module.

In it, you must set the period which the report will cover; and amend the value of working days as is appropriate for your organisation. E.G, a Mon-Fri broker would place 5, Mon-Sat 6, and Mon-Sun 7.

Finally, fill in the product targets at the bottom where terms are always agreed and evidence is always issued on the effective date, as is appropriate for any bespoke policy types on your system.
Once this is done, simply press ok to generate a report and save it with the usual OGI workflow.
